White Tea Promotes Weight-Loss By Reducing Fat Cells

According to NaturalNews.com:

"White tea is produced from the buds and first leaves of the same plant used to make the green tea and the black tea most often consumed in Western countries. Because white tea is processed so much less than the other teas, it has been found to possess an abundance of natural compounds that the German investigators believe actively impact human fat cells.

These phytochemicals, including methylxanthines (like caffeine) and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (known as EGCG), most likely are responsible for many of the anti-fat effects demonstrated in the new study, according to the scientists."

How to Make Green Tea Ice Cream:

Buy your favorite vanilla soy or rice dream ice cream and let it sit out until it is soft. Once it is soft add one to two teaspoons of organic matcha green tea powder into the ice cream, no refreeze the ice cream.

Once the ice cream is frozen again you can scoop it out for a delicious treat. Add red beans for that fancy restaurant feel, or chocolate syrup to make you feel like a kid again. Enjoy your delicious healthy treat!

Why Does Green Tea Help Me Lose Weight?

One of my subscribers recently asked me why green tea aids in weight loss.

"I know it's got caffeine and all but so does red bull and coffee. If these are bad for me, then why is green tea any better?" -Kristina Tompkins

Green Tea has one component that none of those have and it is EGCG.

EGCG is an antioxidant with incredible health benefits from aiding in weight-loss to cancer prevention.

The reason EGCG helps us to lose weight is it increases thermogenesis, or heat production, by influencing enzymes in the metabolic process. This means that your metabolism speeds up resulting in increasing your ability to burn calories throughout the day. So whether you are running a marathon or typing on your computer you will burn more calories then if you had not drank any tea.

Caffeine also has a similar effect but the effect of EGCG is much stronger. So always pick green tea over coffee!

Why Should I Drink Green Tea over Coffee?

Coffee is not good for you. Even if it's a sugar-free, non-fat skinny, soy latte whatever.... It will not do your body good.

Your body does not know how to digest the acid in coffee so guess where it is stored? Your midsection. That’s right, your body stores it as belly fat. Coffee also increases your sugar cravings so you tend to eat more sweets.

For energy and weight-loss green tea is your best bet.

How To Make Green Tea

When I gave up coffee, green tea became my savior. I love to make green tea with soy milk and honey for a perfect morning or mid-day pick-me up.

The way I make it is I heat up the water (filtered water not tap) on the stove (don’t use the microwave) then I pour the hot water into a cup then put the teabag in. Don't heat the water with the teabag in it because that makes it “boil out” some of the natural healing properties of the tea.

Then I add soy milk (Or you can try rice milk) and a drop of organic honey for a hot and healthy treat. I try to make two cups a day. Try it!

Don't Waste Your Money

Because of the amazing health benefits and weight-loss properties of green tea, many diet companies have jumped on the green tea bandwagon with products that are "Guaranteed to Get You Results."

Don’t be fooled. You don't need these products. Don’t get the pills or the patch. Those companies just want your money. To get the benefits of green tea, you should get it from your local health foods store and brew it yourself.

Drink Green Tea, Lose Weight!

We have been aware for some time of the positive health benefits of drinking green tea, however, research has also shown green tea has weight loss benefits as well.

A study published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition found that people lost more weight drinking green tea than those who drank regular oolong tea. The study was performed over a three-month period where people either drank a bottle of green tea or a bottle of oolong tea each day.

A substance in green tea called catechins may stimulate weight loss by increasing the body’s ability to burn calories. Even though black and oolong teas come from the same plant as green tea, the green tea leaves are not fermented before they are steamed and dried.

Specifically the visceral fat, or the fat that builds in the tissues of the abdomen and around the intestines and internal organs, benefits directly from the catechins in green tea. Visceral fat is associated with type 2 diabetes.

General recommendations on the amount of green tea needed to maximize the weight loss benefits is as little as a cup a day, to as much as 4 cups a day. Consuming green tea can also decrease LDL, or bad cholesterol levels.

The researchers in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition study concluded the catechins in green tea can not only aid in calorie burn, but help reduce body fat. Preventing sharp changes in blood-insulin levels is another fat-burning effect of green tea.

Green Tea in Wikipedia...

According to Wikipedia...

Green tea is a type of tea made solely with the leaves of Camellia sinensis, that has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. Green tea originates from China and has become associated with many cultures in Asia from Japan to the Middle East. Recently, it has become more widespread in the West, where black tea is traditionally consumed. Many varieties of green tea have been created in countries where it is grown. These varieties can differ substantially due to variable growing conditions, processing and harvesting time.

Over the last few decades green tea has been subjected to many scientific and medical studies to determine the extent of its long-purported health benefits, with some evidence suggesting regular green tea drinkers may have lower chances of heart disease and developing certain types of cancer[1]. Green tea has also been claimed useful for weight loss management.

Green Tea Helps Cure a Fatty Liver

Eating foods high in fat may not seem like a big deal now and then. Think again! Even though some people can eat a couple of meals strewn in high levels of bad fat and not see any difference in their waistline, the internal damages are far worse. Bad fats do not digest as well as essential fats do (fat found naturally in cold-pressed oils).

Therefore fats can build up internally. “Fatty Liver” is the term given to fat that has built up around the liver. While it is normal for the liver to have some fat around it, it is very dangerous to have too much fat around it. “Fatty Liver” can be caused by alcoholism also. “Fatty Liver” is related to inflammation of the liver and even liver failure.

Your liver is a very important organ in your body that does many jobs from digestion to detoxification. A liver covered in fat will not work as well as a healthy liver. This means more weight and health problems for you.

Green tea and green tea extracts have been found to safely decrease the fat from around the liver. Although it is not reported how long it would take to remove the fat from the liver, it is suggested to take green tea extract or drink seven cups of tea a day to get a healthy liver. Green tea also prevents “fatty liver” from happening. Toast to your liver today!
